Go For a Great MTB Adventure Week!

Enjoy a whole week of pure mountain bike emotions! Feel the warm welcome culture of the local bike community and discover the Erzgebirge mountains on both sides of the German-Czech border. Enjoy the Erzgebirge and Bohemian culture, cuisine and beers. Ahoi and Glück auf!

Day 1 – Warm Up

Option 1: Rail-Trail-Tour

→ 20,8 km  ¦  ↑ 270 m

The Norwegian Trygve Olsen came to Oberwiesenthal in 1895 as the chief engineer of the narrow-gauge railway. As a gentle warm-up for the week we cycle along the tracks of the over 120 years old steam engine down to Sehmatal. We pass the dam in Cranzahl, where we board the train and get shuttled back to Oberwiesenthal.

Option 2: Bike Technique Workshop

Groove yourself in for a week of real mountain biking. The seven-time Trial World Champion Marco Hösel and his Bike Academy Erzgebirge instructors will check your bike skills and show you the latest tricks and insights on how to move your bike in a controlled and technically clean way.

If you still have energy left, grab a Monsterroller at the k1 Sporthotel and test your skills on the tracks at the Fichtelberg, go for the longest Fly-Line of the world or just enjoy some speedy runs at the summer toboggan run.

Day 2 – Trail Firework

→ 21,7 km  ¦  ↑ 230 m (Oberwiesenthal – Rabenberg)

The pioneering spirit of the local bike scene is evident at the TrailCenter Rabenberg. After a rich breakfast we start by bike and cycle to Germany's first and largest Trailcenter! A compact, varied network of routes offers a lot of trail fun for everyone on over 50 km! All routes are prefectly signposted. The Trail Café provides culinary delights during the breaks. And the skills area and a pump track invite for playing with your bike. A shuttle can be organised for the way back to Oberwiesenthal - after all, Germany's highest-located town.

Day 3 & 4

Option 1: Stoneman Miriquidi Silver

→ 162 km  ¦  ↑ 4.400 m within 2 days

Highest peaks, unforgetable moments and breathtaking views. That‘s the promise of the German Stoneman – the exclusive MTB-experience by Roland Stauder.

Explore 2 countries, 9 summits and 4,400 meters of altitude gain. Bike 162 km and conquer the highest Erzgebirge summits in Germany and the Czech Republic. Discover the cultural, historical and geological abundance of the Ore Mountains along the route. The reward for your efforts is the entry in the official finisher list and the handmade trophy. Feel the magic … Go and get your stone!

Option 2: ErzExpluro Enduro Trails

↓ 10,000 meters within 2 days

Enjoy the secret spots of Erzgebirge! Explore up to 13 descents at a 2-day Enduro ride on natural trails, built tracks and bike park downhills. The shuttle bus takes you uphill. Enjoy pure enduro feeling while you ride on the hidden tracks of Richard 'Gaspi' Gasperotti, the first European MTB freerider to be invited to the Red Bull Rampage!

Day 5 – Endless flow

→ & ↓ 10,000 meters

Easy and gently descending flow at the Azur trail. Swinging, playful and continuously descend riding at the Rubin trail. A more natural surface with many bigger and longer waves, spiced with technical elements at the Baron trail. Or pure adrenalin at the official iXS Downhill track at Klínovec. The Trail Park at the highest mountain of the Erzgebirge offers a great variety for mountain bikers of all abilities.

Here we can enjoy ourselves for a whole day. Relaxation is offered while having a lift up to the summit, where we can have a snack in the restaurant.

Day 6 – Brewery Tour

→ 52,7 km  ¦  ↑ 1,400 meters altitude gain

And finally we discover not only the Erzgebirge ridge, but also the Bohemian art of brewing. Starting in Oberwiesenthal we cross the border to Loučná and reach the historical ruins of Königsmühle. Soon we hunt down the descent towards Egergraben which ends directly at the Chalupnik brewery. Of course we will take a break here to strengthen ourselves. But beware! The challenging part of the tour is still ahead. A long ascent follows with about 900 metres climbing up to 1.244 m Klínovec summit. On the way to Boží Dar we ride a section of the Azur trail. After a stop at the the Červený Vlk brewery we cross the border and continue in direction to "Little Fichtelberg". A trail along the edge of the forest leads us down to Oberwiesenthal, where we can enjoy the winning beer at Prijut⭑12.

Listen to your heart and book a great mountain bike trip to the beautiful Erzgebirge right now!
